Math 30-2 Information Bulletin 2023-2024

From the Alberta Education website:

“Students have difficulty solving exponential equations that cannot be written as powers with a common base”.

 We will look at how logarithms can be used to solve exponential equations where the powers cannot be written with a common base. For a complex question where a variable is on both sides of the equal sign, technology will be used. The x-coordinate of the intersection point is the solution.
