From the Math 30-1 Information Bulletin for 2023-2024, Alberta Education stated that “students continue to have difficulty determining the number of invariant points associated with different transformations.” 

Invariant points are points that remain in the same position following a transformation.

We will discuss reflections and stretches, while understanding how the number of invariant points can be determined.
